Living up to Standards

In this audio, Jim and Adam talk about the stark differences of viewing the life of Christ in us according to the world versus according to truth. Are we bound by man’s standards? Is God demanding that we walk as if we do not have the Spirit and need laws to govern us? We speak to these questions and more in our audio recording entitled: Living Up to Standards (Are you Expecting Something?)

Jim, in our back half conversation we were discussing authority from God. What came to mind was this passage here: John 19:11 NIV Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.” Don’t you think this is EXACTLY what Paul Peter and even the writer of Hebrews was getting at? ?‚

Yes, I think what Jesus told Pilate refers to the very same truth that authority, in and of itself, originates in and comes from God. :)

Jim

"Christ in You, the Hope"

"I love being alive in Christ and knowing my freedom." I love this! This summed up the whole audio beautifully for me. Thanks for giving me the words to describe exactly what I feel! :-) Every time I listen to you guys, my inner man is strengthened. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Random Shovelquote: No need for Christ (view all shovelquotes)

But the "gospel" we have heard so many times in this world needs no miracle, it doesn't really even need Christ for that matter because it is established after the pattern of the world's logic, motivations, and ideologies source
