Are all going to be saved?
Submitted by theshovelAre all going to be saved?
I've heard many points brought up in the discussion that are valid, and some that are not. All in Adam are condemned; all in Christ are saved. Can we assume that the "all" in Adam are the same as the "all" in Christ? One is the old creation, the other is the new creation, so none of them are the same. Too many assumptions here.
.. one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, that THEY WHO LIVE should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. 2 Corinthians 5:14-15
It says all died, but it doesn't say that all who died all live, does it? Paul's message doesn't say that everybody is saved but they just don't know it ... he was telling us the only way to view humanity. All dead and...
...therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature 2 Corinthians 5:17
No judgment toward anyone on account of sin for it is a dead issue ... literally. If you went to the morgue and saw all the dead bodies laid out on the slab you wouldn't try to judge them, would you? Now, if you saw some of them come to life in front of you how would you view them? In the same old way? No, but as a miraculous new life that no longer plays by the old rules! Jim (aka "the shovel")
