Weakness reveals power

I think I hear the apostle Paul saying, "Hey, excuse me, but I ALSO know what it is to be scared." :)

For even when we came into Macedonia our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side: conflicts without, fears within. But God, who comforts the depressed, comforted us by the coming of Titus; and not only by his coming, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you, as he reported to us your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced even more. 2 Corinthians 7:5-7

Just remember that one of his main complaints to God was that he was made to be so doggoned WEAK. I think I hear a sense of fear in that, don't you? It was the continual weakness that caused him to glory in God's strength. It is being done to all of us, even at this time. For where else do we turn for these things? Who else is sufficient when we find our strength to constantly fail us? Who is cradling us in His arms as we discover how stinking scared we can get? Love, Jim

Yes this portion of scripture stands out as a continual reminder of the dependency we have through Christ. For when we can’t even speak for ourselves but, rather learn to trust in the One who is our Advocate, we see His sufficiency.
