If I do not understand, how can I trust?

I am afraid that if I don't understand then how can I truly trust ... I mean, what if my confusion is because I am trying to see something that only exists in "my mind" because I am trying to understand through human wisdom. What if Christ's wisdom is totally different, totally beyond whatever I thought!!! Then, all of my fear, and confusion has no basis.

There are issues that still crop up in my own mind (with the usual attached fears) and yet for me to trust him is not brought about by me getting things figured out. I can't tell you that I always feel confident, but I can tell you that I have been left without any other option than Christ and the confidence found in him ... for everything else keeps falling away. You asked about becoming Christ-aware, and I guess that pretty much sums it up for me. It's not that there aren't other factors that have come into play, but they have all been overwhelmed by the reality of him.

To whomever will read this: Interestingly enough Paul told the Corinthians that “…love always trusts..”. Paul pretty clearly states that the trust that comes from the love of God is from..well..God. Why then would we EVER be taught to be enthralled with OUR trust and ‘trusting’ attempts? Why would we even need Jesus for that? How or what is the miracle in that kind of thing? That is again the old, empty mind of flesh that can never please God and is only stimulated to sin by committing itself to laws. Don’t fall for that, for it is hallow and empty and we have been removed from that old dead way of life. Don’t let the trickery and deception of mans wisdom and keeping of laws and rules bamboozle you! For even in the desperate pleas and calls to action that they put out there are themselves not satisfied nor are they experiencing God as they claim.[they derive NO benefit]Do not let those who think they can manufacture God and the things of the Spirit throw you off your sense of confidence in Him. Bless you , Adam

The understanding of what it would be for the very word (expression) of God to be made flesh can only be received if that same Word is now within us. source
