I have been in a on-going discussion with a co-worker who says that a woman can not be in head role as pastor of a church. She can be a minister but not in the role of Head pastor. She recites 1 Timothy 2:11-15. Do you have any information on women being in that position? I say that they can. Thank you

The role of "head pastor", you say? I have to wonder how Christ ever got bumped out of the place reserved for him in the first place. Yeah, as one who is not an advocate for the religious hierarchy that governs the so-called church I would have great difficulty trying to prove that a woman has just as much a right as a man to assume such a position. I know that's not the answer you were looking for - if even an answer it is - but I don't really get myself worked up over who thinks who is qualified as head honcho. Do you know what I mean?
