Set free to truly live
You know, we've heard many things about what it means to be free in Christ, and yet sometimes we overlook that which is most obvious. We were prisoners to a failed system, a system by which our every move and every thought was governed by forces we pretended to understand. Many of us still live as if our lives are defined by the darkness that once defined us. I encourage you to acknowledge the reality of the amazing freedom that is yours in Jesus Christ. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise!

Re: Set free to truly live
Our secular lives are so entrenched in law-based living that any other living outside some type of law appears wrong (other than the 'law' of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Romans 8). Freedom? ... are you kidding me, you say? Since our birth, we have been under the do's & don'ts of parents, the rules in our schools and work-place, the ordinances of our community, and naturally the personal laws we construct for ourselves. What follows from trying to walk in a law-based life is condemnation if we fail these laws OR self-righteousness if we keep law better than others. There comes a time in ones walk with Christ that freedom takes precedence over law. What a wonderful revelation when that freeedom was revealed to me. The once raging civil war within is over. Freedom wins!!!
Fellow believer, may Christ reveal this wonderful freedom we truly have IN HIM. Its not about us and what we DO or DON'T DO. It's about Jesus Christ. It's about living in the confidence of the finished work of Jesus Christ!! It's over!!! TRUST that Christ is living through you every second of the day because HE LOVES YOU. NOTHING will separate you from His Love.

Yes it is a surprise probably to many of us who assumed otherwise. We are so easily lead astray. Thanks Jim.

Thank you brother, for the acknowledgment by way of reminder. :)

What do you see when you look at me? Not the visible me that your eyes can see. For in Christ I am dead, yet alive and free. Free to be it all, as he lives in me.
