Listening to the lie?

The lie of the natural mind fills this world with an absurdity that makes sense to those who live in it. My question to you is this: If you have been made alive in Christ are you going to live your life according to the absurdity of this world? Don't be so naive as to imagine that the natural wisdom of the world around you can help you live a truly better life. Also, do not be surprised to notice that many Christian preachers and teachers have merely dressed up the elemental principles of this world with Biblical clothing so as to make them appear as of Christ. We live according to the reality of life that is found in Christ himself. Stand in it today! :)

Re: Listening to the lie?

..and Jim, what great medicine you have been to the saints in Christ. For your webpage has I am sure served to be a place of healing and sanity in the darkness of a world that is chewing it's victims up and spitting them the heck out! I thank the true God for you, and I KNOW He will continue to use you as He sees fit.

Love,

Adam

Re: Listening to the lie?

Hey I just realized this was here! I was just thinking about this. Jim I am getting so convinced that the most deceptive lie there is , is that there are two realities and one 'extra' reality were there is a sort of 'no-man's-land'. For us who have been granted mercy, we have been given to know that there is only Life and Death. Yet those without the Spirit and maybe even those who do have the Spirit but have allowed themselves to be tricked into the imaginations present in the world, have set up a third 'reality' were 'nothing' is really true. You know, it is often called 'the real world' or 'back to reality' or 'practical life' or 'get er done'.lol It represents the idea that there is Christ in 'theory' but not in REALITY. That He has basically NOTHING to do with our REAL lives without all the fluff and distraction of appearance. And they go right on living in that worldly lie. But what are our real lives? Are they wrapped up in the comparables of THIS world? Man I hope not! TRUE life has NOTHING to do with the crap we call 'life' most times. We wrestle with these things and contend with them, and the world sees that as normal and actually encourages it so they can keep the comparisons going. Yeah, in the back of our minds we think all this reality we r given to have in Christ is because we are just having a personal 'reality check' or crisis. But how many people have had that and actually left all personal material items behind only to come up with nothing more than the fleshly mind that drove them there? Christ is the end to the flesh. For He destroyed it at the cross. My hope is of Him..a living hope. There IS nothing else. Nothing.
